The students are able to prepare a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement as well as a cash-flow statement. They to do a statement analysis using horizontal and vertical balance sheet ratios. By using the Quick-Test the students can make a statement about the financial situation of a company.
The main contents cover the modes of calculating different business ratios and using ratio systems, the interpretation of data and the comprehension of different financial ratios of an income statement, a balance sheet and a cash-flow statement.
Furthermore the correlation between finance and income statements, changes in financial positions, cash flow analysis and working capital management will be discussed. These (theoretical and practical) contents will be up for critical discussion.
