As part of the module "Urban and Regional Development", students acquire an in-depth knowledge in the management and marketing of (economic) sites, based on the objectives, planning methods and instruments of development of cities (including downtown and neighborhood development) and regions and the economic determinants of the different distribution of economic activities in the region (including the related thereto influences of increasing economic globalization).

Rationale and objectives (including legal bases and competencies) as well as strategies and instruments of urban and regional development. A special emphasis is put on the presentation and discussion of the following elements: consideration of the dynamic conditions of urban and regional development (eg mobility and demography, socio-economic and technological changes) mediation of methods, procedures and instruments of Urban and Regional Planning Integrated settlement and infrastructure development Urban Redevelopment , land management and real estate development the development of strategies for sustainable urban and RegionalentwicklungZukünftige perspectives of spatial and regional development in Austria.
