This course provides an introduction about quantitative techniques that can be applied to support individual and group decision making inbroadly understood resource management situations involving spatialdata. It focuses on multiple criteria evaluation and its applications tospatially explicit decision problems. Topic covered are:- Differentiation of SDSS, DSS, GIS, collaborative SDSS and othervariations- Introduction to Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM)- Spatial Decision Problems and examples of different types of SDSS- Evaluation Criteria- Decision Alternatives and Constraints- Criterion Weighting Techniques- Decision Rules- Sensitivity Analysis in MCDM- Definition and modeling spatial decision problems- Structuring the decision making process and solution options- Overview and application of existing SDSS software solutions
