The students develop a basic understanding of a coherent argument in the context of scientific text production.
For this they can
competently differentiate between different forms of argumentative speech
identify and analyse arguments in their own reception of scientific texts, in other words also distinguish weak from strong arguments,
find arguments in their own text production, construct and defend them,
integrate corresponding stylistic and rhetorical means in their own process of writing.

Completed bachelor's degree

In the course, the basics of argumentative speech are illustrated via critical text work and parts of lectures. The acquired knowledge is deepened in the further process with text examples and role-play like disputations. Finally, in the style of a writing work op, the authors' own argumentative text sequences are drafted and reflected upon.
