The students are familiar with profound knowledge of methods and basic knowledge of systems for digital image processing. They know how to select machine vision hard- and software for specified image processing tasks and are familiar with some special topics in image processing, such as 3D modeling or surface measurements.

This course gives an overview about basic principles of modern machine vision systems, and deals further with selection of hard- and software, vision-supported measurements, surface measurements, 3D modeling of image data, and spectral imaging.
