This course explores conflict and conflict management in an intercultural context and includes the following topics:
reasons for intercultural conflict
recognizing and understanding conflict behavior
types and styles of conflict
escalation and de-escalation of conflict
conflict and communication

A mixed method of instruction will be used for this course, including lectures, discussion, case studies, role play (with video analysis), presentations and self-study and group work.
Class participation (reading and discussion of texts): 20%
Group presentation: 40%
Conflict management exam: 40%
