The students are able to define material-related specifics and requirements when designing and building RC-structures. On the basis of the current safety concepts typical design situations are discussed. Starting with load application, structural analysis and determination of internal forces, the students design representative single members and do also the detailing in terms of reinforcement layout. Special focus in design, detailing and execution is laid on the aspects of durability and sustainability.
