By the means of Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) the students are able to handle practical mathematical issues connected with implementing, documenting, automating technical algorithm (e.g. calculation instruction of engineering code) and if applicable to represent the algorithm visually. Furthermore the course attendants become familiar with the basic knowledge in algorithm.

Introducing to CAS using PTC MathCAD:
Theoretical basics of visualizing and implementing algorithm:Conditions, iterations and functionsFlowchart and Nassi-Shneiderman diagram (NSD)
Practical part by MathCAD:Calculating expressions numerically and symbolicallyComputing vectors and matricesSolving simultaneous equationsCreating user defined functions using flow of controlsUsing control devices in sophisticated worksheetsIntegrating external data sources and inserting figuresDeveloping parametric calculation forms to automate mathematical instruction codes
