Students are able to understand and use English terminology and concepts related to the field of Technical English (IT and engineering). Moreover, they are able to utilize English for Specific Purposes (ESP) vocabulary and discuss and explain ESP topics. Students will be able to research and present advanced ESP and relevant topics in English. Students can effectively describe, explain and present technical products and processes. Students can express their opinion and provide evidence to support various viewpoints in global business settings (meetings, negotiations, international settings, etc.)

Course contents include the following points:

  • Description of various technical devices (depending on ESP-specific group)
  • Business English: Meetings and discussions
  • Technical product presentation (IT and/or device)
  • Expansion of basic language structure: grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, syntax
  • Technical Terminology review and expansion
