On successful completion of the course, students:

  • Know the different forms of companies
  • Are able to classify the different forms of company agreements, in particular they know the rights and obligations of the shareholders
  • Can critically evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the various forms of company with regard to setting up a business

The course will cover the following topics/content:

  • General introduction to corporate law
  • Partnerships: GesbR, OG, KG, EWIV, stGes
  • Corporations: GmbH, GmbH & Co KG and AG, SE, Limited, Cooperatives, Associations, Private Foundation
  • Presentation of the basics of the GmbH company contract
