Students have gained an overview of the most important tools and methods in medical engineering. They will be able to define and classify medical engineering. Physical principles of commonly used medical equipment and procedures can be explained at a higher level.

    • Classification and definition of medical devices
    • Safety and legal issues in medical engineering
    • Medical classification methods (diagnostic and therapeutic procedures)
    • Medical fields (such as surgical instruments, implants)
    • Hospital systems
    • Future prospects of medical engineering
