Students will be able to understand the basics of pde to understand the numerical methods and to use the pde-MATLAB Toolbox other appropriate tool. They understand and can handle easy numerical methods, important for engineering, using appropriate tools.
Students should be familiar with the theory of static electrical and magnetic fields. They should be able to both analyze and calculate simple and complex fields. Finally it is essential to verify this knowledge by simulation and /or measuring.
