Here you can find detailed information on how to reach each of the sites of CUAS:
Feldkirchen
By car
From Klagenfurt: Take the by-pass from Feldkirchen up to the 3rd traffic light (Baumax) and then take a left. Drive on for about 1 km and then take a left towards the center (before the railway overpass). You can see a parking lot free of charge after about 200 m. Drive on for another 200 m until you reach the Hauptplatz. At the lower end of the Hauptplatz you can find CUAS Feldkirchen. There are a few parking spaces (short term parking) in front of the building.
From Villach: Take the first traffic light on the right. Drive on for about 1 km and then take a left towards the center (before the railway overpass). By Bus or train
From the train station: exiting the train station take a left towards the center. Walk along the Tiebelgasse and then turn right into the Bürgergasse. This will get you to the Hauptplatz. The building on your left is CUAS Feldkirchen. Take the entrance from the Hauptplatz.
From the bus station: Walk along the 10. Oktober-Strasse towards the center until you reach the Schillerplatz. Then take a right into the Kirchgasse, walk straight on until the street branches out. Take the left into the Ossiacher Strasse. You will then reach the Hauptplatz. CUAS Feldkirchen is located at the lower end of the Hauptplatz.
By plane: From the airport in Klagenfurt take a taxi to the main station Klagenfurt (20 minutes). Alternatively, take the bus (Stadtwerke) to the train station (50 minutes). From the main station in Klagenfurt there are bus and train connections to Feldkirchen.
Villach
By Car
From Klagenfurt/Wien: Autobahn A2 towards Italy; take the exit Villach/Faakersee, turn right onto the B 84, take a right after the city sign “Villach” and drive towards the “tpv – Technologiepark Villach”; take a left at the traffic lights, then straight ahead, cross the new, red bridge across the river Drau. At the roundabout take the first exit on your right. After the Stop sign take a right into the Technologiepark. CUAS is located in the red building.
From Italy/Slovenia: Autobahn A2 towards Klagenfurt; take the exit Villach/Faakersee, turn right onto the B 84, take a right after the city sign “Villach” and drive towards the “tpv – Technologiepark Villach”; take a left at the traffic lights, then straight ahead, cross the new, red bridge across the river Drau. From Salzburg/Munich: Autobahn A10, at the junction Villach towards Italy; take the exit Villach/Faakersee, turn right onto the B 84, take a right after the city sign “Villach” and drive towards the “tpv – Technologiepark Villach”; take a left at the traffic lights, then straight ahead, cross the new, red bridge across the river Drau. At the roundabout take the first exit on your right. After the Stop sign take a right into the Technologiepark. CUAS is located in the red building.
By bus or train
You can reach CUAS Villach by train (Südbahn). Take the exit Seebach and walk to CUAS (about 10 minutes) or get off the train at the main station Villach and a bus (Kowatsch, No 3) will take you to St. Magdalen – Technologiepark. Villach has excellent national and international train connections. From the main station Villach, CUAS is easily reachable by bus (St. Ulrich, bus station opposite the main entrance of the train station) but also by taxi (10 minutes, about Euro 10.--).
By plane
You can either fly to Klagenfurt or Ljubljana. CUAS Villach is easily reachable from both airports by train or rental car.
Klagenfurt
By car
From the West (A10, A11) via A2: Take the extit Klagenfurt/Wörthersee (Minimundus), drive along the Südring for about 7 km, at the crossing Südring/Gerberweg (BP- petrol station) drive towards the city center (left), after about 150 m take a right to CUAS Klagenfurt.
From the East via A2: Take the exit Klagenfurt –Ost, drive towards the city center (left), after 1 km turn into the Völkermarkterstrasse (right) and after about 2.5 km turn into the Südring at the crossing (Kika), at the crossing Südring/Gerberweg (BP- petrol station) drive towards the city center (left), after about 150 m take a right to CUAS Klagenfurt.
From the South via Rosentalerstrasse B91: At the crossing Rosentalerstrasse/Südring (PSK) take a right into the Südring, drive along the Südring for about 2.5 km. At the crossing Südring/Gerberweg (BP- petrol station) drive towards the city center (left), after about 150 m take a right to CUAS Klagenfurt.
From the North via St. Veiterstrasse B83: Drive towards the city center until you reach the crossing St. Veiterstrasse/St. Veiterring, take a left, then follow the St. Veiterring southbound until you reach the Völkermarkterring (right), drive along the extension of the Völkermarkterring, turn into the Lastenstrasse and continue until you reach the train overpass (after 800 m), continue on the extension of the Lastenstrasse into the Gerberweg; after about 750 m take a left and you have reached CUAS Klagenfurt.
By buy or train
From the main station Klagenfurt walk along Bahnstrasse (eastwards) until you reach Südpark, then continue on the Gerberweg until you reach the Primoschgasse (southwards). You have then reached CUAS Klagenfurt (walking time is about 20 minutes).
By plane
From the airport you can either take a taxi or a bus. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes, the Stadtwerke bus will take you first to Heiligengeistplatz, then you have to change to bus number 40, 41, 42, 70, or 71. This will take you about 50 minutes.
Spittal
By car
From the north via A10 (Tauernautobahn): Take the exit Spittal Nord- Millstätter See, take a right and follow the B98 towards Spittal, take a left at the first crossing and enter the B99 (Gmünder Strasse), follow along towards Spittal, straight ahead and cross the river Lieser, pass the Neuen Platz and drive towards the Burgplatz (Schloss Porcia), at the crossing Burgplatz take a left, pass the Hauptplatz and drive through the Torbogen (along the Villacher Strasse), straight ahead across the Lieser-bridge. CUAS Spittal is the first building right next to the river Lieser: CUAS Spittal, also known as “Spittl”.
From the West via B100 (Drautalbundesstrasse): Towards the city center until you reach the Burgplatz (Schloss Porcia on your right), straight ahead and pass the Hauptplatz through the Torbogen along the Villacher Strasse, straight ahead across the Lieser-bridge. CUAS Spittal is the first building right next to the river Lieser: CUAS Spittal, also known as “Spittl”.
From the South or East via A10 (Tauernautobahn): Take the exit Spittal-Ost, take a left towards Spittal Zentrum. You are on the B100 (Villacher Strasse), follow this street until you reach CUAS Spittal. The “Spittl” is right next to the Lieser-bridge on your right hand side.
By bus or train
The InterCity will take you to Spittal an der Drau/Millstättersee. There is a footpath along the Bahnhofstrasse. Take a right after the Stadtpark and turn into the Villacher Strasse, walk straight ahead, pass Schloss Porcia, continue across the Hauptplatz, pass through the Torbogen and across the Lieser-bridge. CUAS Spittal is right next to the Lieser-bridge. Walking time is about 15 minutes.
By plane
You can either fly to Klagenfurt or Ljubljana. CUAS Villach is easily reachable from both airports by train or rental car.
