The School of Network Engineering and Communication with new iPhone app (FunnyVoice) for speech signal processing
Which techniques are used in digital speech processing? How can you change the pitch of a voice? How long does the calculation take on mobile devices?For the answers to these and other questions, Professor Dr. Jürgen Schussmann and DI (FH) Michael Dorfer, employees of the School of Network Engineering and Communication, developed the FunnyVoice iPhone app. With this app you can easily record your voice, modify your recording using different sound effects and listen to it. Moreover, you can save your recordings, send them via e-mail or use it as your individual ring tone. You can even post a message to Facebook or Twitter from the app telling your friends about FunnyVoice.
But FunnyVoice is not only used for entertainment purposes. Our students learn the technological basics to understand the algorithms and advance them. Furthermore our students benefit from such practical applications and business projects using modern technologies.
