Network Engineering & Communication

Communication is one of the most basic human needs, and already the earliest civilizations knew how to transmit messages across vast distances. In our global world, how and to which extent we communicate greatly depends on modern communication technologies and their networking with each other.

The School of Network Engineering and Communication has been developed for those people who are interested in telecommunications, informatics and networking systems. How will laptops, servers, smart phones, industrial plants and intelligent home appliances all communicate with each other in the future? What innovative applications will be needed to meet the challenges in the fields of energy efficiency and traffic management?  

Human communication behavior comprises a further subject area of this degree program, as the users and their interaction with technology reside at the center of every application. In the Bachelor program the students have the possibility to specialize in the following areas of emphasis:

• Industrial Networks
• Energy and Traffic
• Communication

In the Master program you can choose between the specialization areas of Mobile Networks and Industrial Networks. Non-technical courses in areas such as business, law, quality management as well as foreign languages, round off this practice-oriented education in order to prepare our students for interesting professional careers.

Our Bachelor and Master programs are offered as full-time as well as part-time degree programs.
