Master Health Management - part time
The healthcare sector can be characterized by its dynamic growth and through the increasing complexity in terms of the financial, structural and cultural circumstances of the service providers. Demographical and socio-cultural developments, the rapid advancements in the field of medicine, the increasing quality awareness in the healthcare and nursing care fields, the pressure to keep costs under control in the face of constant financial resources and last but not least the increasing demands of patients in regards to their own care clearly illustrate the main demands placed on the healthcare system today.
These demands can only be met by highly qualified personnel at all levels of healthcare provision. The Master degree program “Health Management” educates managers in the field of health care. These managers should have the capabilities to realize the necessary processes in the framework of reform efforts in the healthcare system and the differencing dimensions of quality of care and to be a positive part of these creative processes.
Qualifications and competence profile
The graduates of the CUAS Master degree program Health Management acquire expertise that is fundamental, based on sound research and evidence, application oriented and specifically designed for the field of healthcare relevant disciplines. Above and beyond this, our students attain the ability to analyze subjects methodically and to apply this skill in interdisciplinary settings. The degree program conveys additionally key skills such as the ability to act independently, social and communication skills, e.g. conflict management, cooperation, negotiations and language skills, as well as fundamental leadership and management competence such as the ability to delegate, motivate employees, set and achieve goals to name a few.
