Bachelor Geoinformation (6 Semester)

How to become a student
Each year 24 students are given the opportunity to study Geoinformation. Applicants must have a general qualification for university entrance (an Austrian or equivalent school leaving certificate),  the university entrance certificate or vocational qualification or the vocational master certificate with additional qualifications in the subjects German, English and Mathematics.
Applicants must send in a formal application. The application form is available:

Application
Please enclose copies of the following documentation and certificates (may be handed in later should they not be available) with your written application:

• Curriculum Vitae including photograph
• Copy of School Leaving Certificate or University Entrance Certificate
• Copy of last school report
• Copy of Proof of Citizenship
• Copy of relevant additional qualifications

Should you meet the formal admission requirements, you will be asked to a personal interview to ascertain your motivation and professional interest. You will be informed of the results within a few days.  

Transfer of Credit
If you have graduated from a relevant Vocational High School, your previous knowledge can be credited in certain subjects. Similarly, it is also possible to have courses or examinations from universities or other Institutions of Higher Education at home or abroad credited.

Master Spatial Information Management (4 Semester)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in technical or natural scientific studies)

Documents:

• Application Form
• Hard copy of completed application form with colored photo
• Curriculum Vitae
• Letter of Motivation
• Certified copy of secondary (School Leaving Certificate) and tertiary (BA or equivalent) qualifications
• Copy of all relevant additional qualifications
• Certified copy of transcript of academic records for all university courses taken
• Copy of results of English language proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS6.0 or equivalent)
• Copy of valid passport
• Two letters of recommendation
• Work experience (if applicable) 
• A summary (min. 400 words) of the bachelor thesis
• Financial statement

After the check of your documents we will contact you to fix an interview (personal or via skype).

Application deadline:
For Applications from Non-EC countries regarding a visa: 15 April 2010. For applications from EC-countries: 15 June 2010
