Research
"System Integration", embedding micro-electronic components in electronic or mechatronic systems of higher complexity, is the most important research topic of the Master program "Systems Design".
Due to decreasing sizes and rapidly increasing operating frequencies, conventional simulation and design methods will fail; in such cases e.g. a 3D field solver has to be used to simulate disturbance emissions by modeling their entire electromagnetic field.
Other key research topics are signal and image processing, and real-time systems.
