Embedded Systems

Embedded systems are electronic systems integrated (embedded) in systems that are controlled or monitored. They consist of a combination of hardware (micro-controller, signal processor, ASIC…) and software (program control and communications control).

They often contain interfaces to their environment, which fulfill the tasks of sensors and actuators. Embedded systems constitute an integral part of communications devices, vehicles, medical technology, and machinery and industrial plants.
