Professional Fields of Activity

Based on the firm scientific technical and practical foundation of the bachelor education, the goal of the master program is to train the best qualified architect, who is able to develop and execute complex construction projects, from conception to implementation and commercialization. According to the legal situation in order to set up as a self-employed architect a further qualification as certified engineer is necessary. A similar situation applies to those planning to be a master builder.

The Dipl.-Ing for Architecture is qualified to design taking into account social, ecological, financial and technical factors as well as to plan, supervise and cost the execution. Equally possible is responsibility for municipal or regional development in local and public authorities. Graduates also have the possibility of a more academic or scientific career through pursuing a doctorate at a technical university at home or abroad.
