Job & Career

The building and construction industry is one of the largest economic sectors and it is widely acknowledged that one job in this industry creates about three other jobs in other branches. The need for residential and infrastructure construction is huge and the demand for innovative and environmentally sensitive solutions will definitely continue to increase. A functioning economic cycle without “construction” is unimaginable!
Due to the broad foundation both in the technical as well as the business fields, the door to the construction design-engineering industry is wide open – at the same time students have at their disposal a substantial business know-how. Our graduates find interesting jobs as employers as well as employees including state-run institutions. Due to the international orientation of our School and the cutting-edge Austrian construction industry, many jobs are also open to our students abroad, both near at hand and further afield.
Our close contacts to the industry, the internship and an efficient and effective network of teaching staff and graduates some of whom are to be found in leading positions in well-known companies. All these factors assist our graduates in finding the optimal job.
Graduates of the Civil Engineering Program are particularly qualified for construction design-engineering work whether it be in management, in construction offices or building site supervision representing the client or the contractor.
