Incoming Exchange Students

Application procedure for Incoming Exchange Students:

This application process refers to students who want to spend one or two semesters as an exchange student at CUAS.

Spring semester: 30 November

Please use an updated version of your browser - otherwise the online application tool won't work proper. We recommend to use Google Chrome or Firefox. If you have any questions please contact international(at)cuasat

You have to upload your Learning Agreement and the Application Form during the application process. Please have a look at our documents “Guideline Learning Agreement” and “Common Mistakes” before you fill out the forms. Please note: Your application will only be processed with fully completed documents.


Course Offer
Please note that Incoming Exchange Students are required to take a minimum of 12 ECTS credits per semester. Please only choose courses from one Study Degree Program, so there will be no overlapping of the courses. If you visit us during the fall semester, please only pick courses from the 1st. 3rd and 5th semester. If you visit us in the spring semester, please only pick courses from the 2nd, 4th and 6th semester. The course offer of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences can be found within "Current courses" of the relevant degree programms:

Civil Engineering & Architecture (CUAS site: Spittal)
Engineering & IT (CUAS site: Villach and Klagenfurt)
Health Sciences & Social Work (CUAS site: Feldkirchen and Klagenfurt)
Management (CUAS site: Villach) 

The School of Management offers an English taught Bachelor program for Incoming Exchange Students. 

Bachelor
All Bachelor degree programs at CUAS are taught in German, except for Bachelor Degree Programm Intercultural Management, which is taught in English. 

Master
CUAS offers eight master degree programs fully taught in English. For further information, please refer to this link.
Please note that due to the limited capacity and the popularity of the International Business Management Master program, study places for Incoming Exchange Students are limited and are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.

CUAS International Relations Office offers Incoming Exchange Students support regarding accommodation. For CUAS sites Villach, Klagenfurt and Spittal rooms are available in student dormitories. If there is no accomodation available, we will help you to get in touch with potential landlords.

Every month the International Relations Office organizes day trips and social evenings. Depending on the season, ice skating, hiking, cycling or visits to cities like Salzburg or Vienna are on the agenda. These trips are always a good occasion to learn more about Austria and meet other exchange and local students!
