International Applicants

Bachelor Students

If you want to study as a bachelor student, please send the application documents to the administration of the relevant school.

If you have met all the formal requirements, you will be asked to complete a written ranking test to ascertain your aptitude, talents and motivation. Multiple Choice Tests and Interviews are held once a month from January till September. You will then be invited to an interview with the Admissions Committee. Next your results will be analyzed and then you will be notified about our decision.

International Master Students

Students who are interested in studying a Master Degree Program are asked to follow the steps given on the checklist (see pdf document below).

They are also asked to fill in the following documents digitally:

  • Application form: completed and signed with colour photo
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of Motivation
  • Certified copy of the secondary (School Leaving Certificate) and tertiary (BA or equivalent) qualifications
  • Certified copy of the transcript of academic records for all university courses taken
  • Copy of all relevant additional qualifications
  • Copy of results of English language proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent)
  • A summary of the bachelor thesis
  • Two letters of Recommendation
  • Copy of a valid passport
    * applicable for Non-EU/EEA citizens

Please note that only completed applications including the full legalization of all documents will be taken into consideration.

Language Requirements

Please note that sufficient knowledge of the German language (B2 level) is necessary to be admitted to Bachelor and Master Programs, which are taught in German at CUAS.

For Master programs taught in English, proof of English language proficiency must be provided:

  • IELTS 6 overall with no lower than 5.5 in each part
  • TOEFL: PBT (paper-based test, 550 points), CBT (computer-based test, 200 points) internet-based test – 92 or above with minimum 23 in reading, listening, speaking and writing) 
  • UCLES CPE grade C or better, or UCLES CAE grade B or better
  • or equivalent

Leglization of documents:

International applicants have to provide translated copies of their documents in German or English. The translation needs to be done by a sworn and officially accredited translator.
In addition applicants from non-EU Countries are required to submit their translated documents legalized by the Austrian diplomatic representation.

The following required documents in regard to the application process have to be legally attested:

  • Exam of vocational middle school or certification of vocational training (if applicable)
  • School-leaving exam / transcript of final school year (if applicable)
  • University entrance / equivalent exam (if applicable)

 Additionally for Master’s Programs:

  • Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent diploma of a 3-year degree program at a national / international higher education institution
  • (Final) Transcript / Transcript of Records (has to show all completed courses)

Please be advised that CUAS does not pay for degree verifications. If you do not make these arrangements, it is likely that your documents will not be verified and we will be unable to process your application.

Enrollment can only take place if you present the required legalized documents within the deadline!

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the selection is 15 April 2012 for non-EU citizens - and 15 June 2012 for EU citizens. By then all the documents should be sent to the administration of the relevant School. In case study places are still available after 30 April 2012, applications will be possible until 15 September 2012, or at least as long as study places are available.

An interview with the applicants is planned and the results of the interview will be sent back to the applicant within a few days after the interview took place. Application Online

Student Fees

All programs at CUAS are offered for a student fee of € 363,36 per semester. Additionally, every student has to join the Austrian National Student Union (KFAST). They will ask for a membership fee of € 17 per semester. International applicants will be asked to transfer these amounts right after being accepted at CUAS. Note that only the prompt payment of the full amount will guarantee your study place.
