Application procedure for incoming students

Erasmus & Joint-Study: Your university needs to nominate you for the exchange semester at CUAS!

Freemover Students: Send your documents directly to CUAS International Office. We will inform you immediately about the availability of places as well as the current fees for one semester at CUAS.

After your nomination send in the following documents
- Application Form
- Learning Agreement
- Transcript of Records
- Copy of valid passport

Application deadlines
- 30 May for the fall semester
- 30 November for the spring semester

Course Offer

Carinthia University of Applied Sciences offers more than 30 Bachelor and Master degree programs on four different University sites (Villach, Spittal, Klagenfurt, Feldkrichen).

Most programs at CUAS are taught in German. However, the schools of Management and Health & Care offer English taught Bachelor programs for incomings each autumn semester. Incomings with Master level can choose courses from our English taught Master programs.

All other incoming applicants are asked to contact the International Office for individual arrangements.

CUAS offers eight master degree programms fully taught in English.

The International Office

Accomodation: The International Office offers support regarding accommodation. For the CUAS-sites Villach and Spittal we can reserve places in a student dormitory. If there are no places available and for the CUAS sites Klagenfurt and Feldkirchen, we offer databases for rooms.

Social Events: Every month the International Office organizes day trips and social evenings. Depending on the season ice skating, hiking, cycling or visits to cities like Salzburg or Vienna are on the agenda. Always a good occation to learn more about Austria and meet other incoming and local students! You can check out programm here.

Ernst Mach Scholarship


The Ernst Mach Scholarship is a semester or one-year grant and applies to exchange students mainly from non European countries. The scholarship is open for students who are studying a master program at a university in one of the above-mentioned countries, or who have successfully completed at least 4 semesters of studies within a diploma program at a university in one of the above-mentioned countries at the time of taking up the grant.
