Responsibilities of the Board of Governors
In consultation with both of the other members of the Board of Governors, the Executive Director of the Board of Governors conducts the business of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences gemeinnuetzige Privatstiftung (non-profit private foundation). The three members of the Board of Governors form the Foundation Board of Governors, which manages the private foundation, represents it in external dealings and ensures the fulfilment of the purpose of the foundation, namely the organisation and operation of university degree programmes within the meaning of the FHStG (Fachhochschule Studies Act).
The Executive Director of the Board of Governors is responsible for the commercial and organisational management of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) and in this function, is the overall supervisor of all employees. Furthermore, the Executive Director of the Board of Governors, in consultation with the other members of the Board of Governors, must ensure the development and implementation of the strategic goals and the positioning of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences.
