3 December 2011: Salzburg
On 3 December 2011 we woke up quite early to catch the train on time. At quarter past 9 the trip to Salzburg started and everybody received city maps of Salzburg indicating Christmas markets.After the 2 ½ hours train travel, we searched for the right bus to the Castle Hohensalzburg. After finding it, the way up wasn’t relaxing anymore….we had to walk up the Mönchsberg. After all, all 50 students made it to the top, where the free part of the trip started. We explored Salzburg and the Christmas markets in small groups and enjoyed the culinary offers. At quarter to 6 we met again at the train station. After everybody was there, in the last minute, we took the train back home.
Despite the lack of snow Christmas feelings came up. The Christmas markets offer everything that the Christmassy heart longs for.
