Infineon Scholarship

Infineon Technologies awards one scholarship to an excellent student of the master degree program "ISCD - Integrated Systems and Circuits Design" starting in fall 2012 at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, campus Villach, Austria.

This scholarship not only enables the student to accomplish the ISCD master degree program, but also offers employment at Infineon, one of the leading semiconductor companies worldwide.

The scholarship amounts to 800.– EUR per month, paid 5 months per semester (sum 15 months). In the final 4th semester, the student is directly employed by Infineon, where she/he will complete the master's thesis.

Application Process

  • Hand in the complete application for admission to the ISCD master degree program. For the application, please follow the instructions and use the forms provided on the pages for international master students. Graduates of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences please contact the local aministration.
  • Hand in the signed application for the Infineon scholarship.
  • Upon admission to the ISCD program the application documents will be forwarded to Infineon for selection.

Selection Criteria

The selection is done by Infineon. The criteria are:

  • Transcript of records - ranking.
  • Previous educational achievements - projects, awards, rankings.
  • Work experience.
  • Bacheleor thesis in English is of advantage.
  • Relevant research papers in English, if available.
  • Interview.

Time Schedule

The scholarship for program start in fall 2012 is now open for application. Deadline for the scholarship application is 31.5.2012. By this time the application for the master degree program ISCD must also be completed.  

Please note: applicants who need an Austrian visa have to apply for the ISCD master degree program early enough to ensure a start with 1st Oct. 2012 (see ISCD admission page). The visa application procedure might take up to four months and requires a letter of acceptance for the ISCD master degree program.
