Admission Requirements

The curriculum is developed for graduates of Austrian and international BSc level programs in Electronics Engineering like the Systems Engineering (Embedded Electronics) program offered at Carithia University of Applied Sciences. Application requirements are:

• BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing or Dipl.-Ing(FH) degree in Electronics Engineering (180 ECTS)
• BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing or Dipl.-Ing(FH) degree in a comparable IT program (180 ECTS)

In the 2nd case a minimum of 30 ECTS (equivalent to one semester) have to be earned in the following subjects:

• Analog and digital electronic circuits
• Modeling of circuits and systems (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, ...)
• Electronic components
• Analog and digital signal processing
• Computer architecture and microprocessor technology
• Use of CAD tools (e.g. Matlab, Spice, ...)

Applicants not having English as their native language are required to prove communication skills by IELTS, TOEFL, UCLES or equivalent.

 

Application Process

Graduates of BSc level programs, which fulfill above admission requirements, are invited to apply for admission to ISCD. All information on the applications process is available for international master students. 

There will be limited study places available for the program starting in fall. In case there are more applications than study places the selection criteria will be:

• Examination and interview
• Transcript of records - ranking
• Previous educational achievements - projects, awards, rankings
• Work experience
